Lynchburg Drive Stream Restoration

Project Description
Location:  Rear yards of properties at 329-333 Lynchburg Drive. Project:  Improve natural design of stream using j-hooks, rock vanes and sills, as well as plunge pools for approximately 723 feet of channel. Performance/Outcome:  Improve stormwater runoff flow and area flood control to increase aesthetics and reduce undesirable animal life. Allow City to take credit for pollutant reduction (sediment, nitrogen, phosphorus) to the James River/Chesapeake Bay.
