Approval of the Final CAP
Decision Document has been delayed to April/May. U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) informed the USACE in January 2021 that a
Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act Report was needed. 03/03/2021
USACE is finalizing the internal process for the Feasibility Report. A preliminary copy of the agreement for design/construction sent to City Attorney for comments. A markup was provided to the USACE 12/14/20. 12/21/2020
Environmental expressed concerns about VMRC's comments on the study about a living shoreline option being the standard method. The state regulations changed as the feasibility study was completed to require a living shoreline be used unless an engineering analysis shows it will not work. USACE is aware and plans to have internal discussions and further coordination with VMRC. 12/04/2020
Public meeting held November 19. Several homeowners attended and provided input and concerns. All appeared to be in favor of the project overall. 11/20/2020
