Project Description
The project involves the design of a new force main to replace the existing force main from pump station PS021. The PS021 force main requires relocation from its current location behind the residences along Chatsworth Drive to the roadway from the pump station to a point near 777 Chatsworth Drive where the relocated force main can connect to the HRSD Force Main. Due to the location of the force main in an easement behind residential properties, significant public involvement will be necessary. The force main is located in an environmentally sensitive area that would be adversely impacted should a failure occur. The force main is approaching the end of its useful life and is currently located in a difficult location to maintain or repair. Location: Existing force main runs from pump station at 260 Anne Dr. through backyards along Chatsworth Drive. New force main will extend from pump station at 260 Anne Dr. down Anne Drive to Chatsworth, to Newmarket Creek to the City of Hampton.
